Our Christmas show this year is from our friend of many years standing, Helen Taylor. For the first time with us, she exhibiting on her own, thus giving her many followers a chance to see an even greater selection of her new works.

The members of Sittingbourne Photographic Society have always produced superb images and have, over the years, won many awards. We are delighted to host this, their first out of area exhibition of their work.

Lorraine always manages to achieve that elusive balance with all her work between quality and value for money. Probably the most prolific artist in the area and someone we’re always delighted to welcome to The Oast Gallery.

We are honoured that internationally acclaimed wildlife artist, Paul Apps has again chosen ‘The Oast Gallery’ to host his biennial local exhibition. At the time of writing, we’re unaware of the content but are quite sure it will be superb, as ever.

Frances’s first exhibition with us in 2007 was a runaway success , so we are particularly pleased to welcome her back and look forward to enjoying her charming watercolours of mostly local subjects.

Wendy now lives in New Zealand, but visits her family in the UK every summer. Each time she returns, she brings a new batch of works with her in her distinctive style for her biennial exhibition which we are delighted to host once again.

‘Sunshine and Shadow’

Geoffrey Sainsbury Watercolours

As far as we’re concerned, Geoffrey is one of the finest watercolour artists in Kent. Although he has exhibited here with others in the past, this is his first solo exhibition with us. An opportunity to see a larger than usual selection of works in his distinctive, open style of painting.

EXHIBITION NOTES

All exhibitions are set up on a Thursday, and , in general
viewable from that afternoon onwards. Opening events, to which all are invited, generally take place on the first Saturday of the exhibition, or, in a few cases, on the Friday evening. Light refreshments are usually available.

Should you wish to purchase a work from the gallery, we prefer you to leave it on display until the exhibition ends. However, we fully understand that this is not always feasible.  For more expensive works, we offer a staged payment scheme - please enquire.

We try to offer as wide a range of exhibitions as possible and are
always glad to view the work of local artists and craftsmen who would like to exhibit with us.
